The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that the Chartered Accountant (CA) Qualification will be considered equivalent to a Master’s Degree.
The Institute has sought the status of a post-graduation degree for candidates who have qualified in chartered accountancy (CA). The institute claimed that the CA-intermediate program should also be allowed the status of a graduate degree.
The University Grants Commission has resolved that CA Qualification will be treated equivalent to PG Degree based on requests submitted from the ICAI.
This will not only help CA’s for pursuing higher studies but will also facilitate the mobility of Indian CAs globally.
